Bad, Bad Day
Hi guys! Tuesday was a bad day for me… a bad day I tell you! I was a good puppy and still I had problems. I slept all morning; I wake up at one point and I don’t know how I managed to break one nail... the 5th nail from my right, front paw. It was just hanging there and I was very upset… when the human with the computer saw what happened to my nail, tried to help me… But I was so scared and the pain made me want to bite. So another human had to rush back home; both of them managed to cut the hanging nail… but after that came the blood… I tell you it was not a nice picture… after 2 minutes the bleeding stopped… they used some local anti-bleeding medicine. I was very scared because they said that if the nail doesn’t look good we’ll go to the vet. Happily until now the nail looks just fine… it is just shorter.
Yesterday I had a niceee day! Oh yes I did! I think it was a reward for Tuesday. Friends of my human with the computer came by and I was so happy! Of course they admired ME, because I’m so cute and sweet and funny…. The human says I should stop boasting myself.

last week, mom found my 5th nail bended and it looks like the nail gonna scratch my skin so mom and dad forced to clip it off. it wasn't really a comfortable situation so i struggle. :(
btw ronin, wanna check with you. mom is interested in getting me a little bro/sis. she wants to know if pug a barker? how active are you? and lot more.

Hi Boo! I'll post the response here and also on your blog. Well, a puggy is a great companion. Last year when we decided to take another dog (after we lost our dear boxer Tequila) we searched the internet for a breed that would be perfect for us. So we ended up with a pug (the best choice for us). He barks… although everywhere it says that pugs don’t bark. Ronin barks… not very much… I noticed he barks when he is tired and wants to sleep and all kind of noises distract him; also when the hour when my parents come back from work… when he hears something around that hour he barks. He doesn’t bark extremely when he is left home alone. I tested him… when he hears a sound he barks a few seconds and after that he is quiet.
About him being active… yes he is active, meaning that he wants to play a couple of hours… he shows us when he wants to play… he comes with his toys. When he is home alone he is very well behaved (that is something which we aren’t used too… Our Tequila destroyed everything around the house… But Ronin is so good). A thing about pugs is that they have problems with breathing; when they get hyperactive or they are very happy they tend to forget to breath. So I try to calm Ron down when he does that; also they shed a lot! We don’t have other problems with Ronin… also depends of the way the puggy is raised… we spoiled him very much and he is very stubborn. :P But I understand that pugs grow up very well around other dogs and they are very good with children. We couldn’t test the thing with children because we don’t have any “available” but he has an interesting reaction with dogs… he doesn’t seem to have any reaction… :P

ronin, thank you for your reply. if i'm having a pug sis/bro, mom worried we'll start a barking war! mom's boss told her they had 2 shihtsu and they bark like no other business and got fined by the local council! i'm staying in a condo so mom doesn't want a talkative dog. i'm doing alright. i bark when my toys got stuck, strangers pass by the house or when i play with my hooman. but other than that, i will not bark without a reason. err... i guess all dogs are like that. LOL
i'll ask again if i want more info for mom.

Ronin, you poor,poor cutie, that must have been super ouchie..I've noticed that puglets have long nails, is that usual? Do you ever trim them? I don't have to , cause I run around so much in the puppy run, and it's cement, so it's like a giant nail file hehehehe
