About Halkidiki - Greece

Hey guys!!! I promised you a few photos from my human’s vacation in Greece! My human went in Halkidiki (Chalkidiki or Chalcidice - Χαλκιδική). Halkidiki is a large peninsula in the northwestern Aegean Sea, resembling a hand with three "fingers" – Pallene (now Kassandra), Sithonia, and Agion Oros (the ancient Acte), which contains Mount Athos and its monasteries. My human was at a resort in Kassandra near the city called Kalithea. And it was great! Nice services, hotel, entertainers, food, frappé! And if you didn’t know, the beverage called frappe it was invented by Greeks!!! Polygyros is the capital city of the penisula. My human went also on a cruise on the Aegean Sea with a boat called Menia Maria, and the captain was Amestis Vassiliadis. There was a pirate on the ship and he was so scary! Also there were Greek dancers of Sirtaki! The cruise was at Mount Athos where a lot of monasteries can be found but where women are not allowed! If you are a woman and you are caught there you go to prison from 2 to 12 months without the right to bail! The cruise started from a harbor called Ormos Panaghis located in Sithonia; after seeing the monasteries from the sea, the boat stopped on a village called Ournapoli, a harbor on the Mountain where women were allowed.
