Ronin’s First Christmas!

What a beautiful time I had! I love Christmas! I got all kind of cool things! Santa came in the Christmas Eve because I was such a good pooch and brought gifts for ME and for my humans. Let’s see what I got: a new rubber chicken (oh yes! It’s a big chicken), a funny Frisbee, a collar and a leash (because I’m not a baby I got new ones for a big puggy), a pressed rawhide bone, a rubber doggy (that’s from my human grandma), treats and a jacket! Oh yes you read right! A jacket! I look so funny! At first I was very upset because I didn’t like it on me, but now I tolerate it… My humans were so amused!
After Santa came, we had a lovely dinner; I ate all kind of goodies. My humans were very careful not to give me too much because I didn’t want a tummy ache on Christmas. On Christmas Day we watched some Christmas movies and we ate some more. :)
I want Christmas everyday! Now we are preparing for New Year… I hear that we’ll stay up all the night and eat, sing, dance, watch TV! That’s cool!
SANTA CAME! SANTA CAME!!!
These are all for ME? YES?? Wow!!!
Don't I look funny?
Cool Pooch!
Chicken legs! Chicken legs!

Christmas Traditions

Hello everyone! Three days until Christmas! Can you believe it? Well lots of things will take place these days… many involve food. My humans made a menu for the Christmas feast. Oh and what a menu! Soup, sausages, sarmale (I’m going to tell you about them), stakes, French fries… oh boy, oh boy… salads… pickles. All kind of sweets…
Carolers are everywhere: on the streets, at our door… and I’m barking all the time! :P Some carolers look really funny and act goofy too: they have drums and they sing and dance and one of them is dresses like a bear or a goat. There are a lot of kids and they sing nice songs about Christmas. And again I bark; my humans tell me to shut up, but I’m trying to sing too!
And now something about “sarmale”; they are traditionally prepared in Croatia, Greece, Hungary, Romania, Turkey, Ukraine and other countries in Southeastern Europe. “Sarma” means wrapping or rolling, and it comes from Turkish. The most popular way to prepare sarmale is to use sour cabbage leaves. How can you make sarmale??? Simple!
You mince some meat - pork, veal – with rice, onions, spices, you mix them very well and you roll them into sour cabbage leaves. You put them to boil with water and some tomato juice for a few hours. And then you serve them to your family on X-mas Eve!!
Yummie!

Where is Ronin the Pug?

Today my humans installed the last Christmas lights in our house. I love them! So when they tried to put them I decided I wanted to chew my bone on the lights. I’m cute, aren't I? They were warm and all the colours looked so good… so why should they be up there on the wall, when they can be right under me?! :)

What’s This? What’s This? It’s Colour Everywhere!

Well my friends, something happened today! My humans were all merry and jolly. They put a green thing in the middle of MY living room; all kind of boxes appeared from no where full of little bubbles of glass with lots of colours. I started asking “What’s this? What’s this?”… Finally one of my humans shown me and said it’s a X-mas ornament… cool I said.
They put some little lighting in the tree… and so much other things… Santas, Teddy Bears, some little soldiers… they mumbled that they were from Tchaikovsky's “The Nutcracker”, all kind o shining stuff.
And after that all kind of characters appeared: Santa, The Snowman, Rudolph, Elves, Little Angels…
Oh and another thing happened! Some people appeared at the door singing! My humans called them carolers! And they sang so nice!
What can I tell you?! I love Christmas! And guess what? There’s more! Can’t wait for Christmas Eve!

OK stay calm! I'm investigating this! And this? What is this? Can I eat it? Plzzzz let me eat it!
Hi! I'm Ronin and I want to chew you!

I've Been Christmas Tagged!

Oh boy, oh boy!!! I’ve been Christmas tagged by Gidget and Duke! That’s so cool!!!!

Ok… For Christmas I would love to get:
1. A new play house because the first one I destroyed :P
2. The exclusive right to destroy everything I want (especially shoes and rattan chairs)
3. Toys and treats that last forever
4. Pots of flowers for me to do anything I want with them – rip, eat and chew (without my humans running after me)
5. A new doggy brother or sister for me to play with (but I'm not very sure about this because I like being the only "child")

I really, really don’t want for Christmas:
1. Trips to the vet and shots.
2. Yelled at for pooping where I shouldn’t
3. Vitamins (bleah I hate them)
4. A new pair of claws for my nails (the first ones broke and I’m so happy)
5. Cleaning the ears (another activity which I love…NOT)

I would like to Christmas tag: Sachi, Willow and Belle, Ronak, Buster, Bandit and Paisley!
The Rules: The player of this game starts with "3 things he/ she would love to get for Christmas" and also has to list "3 things he/ she definitely does not want to get for Christmas". Then he/she tags 5 friends and list their names. The ones who get tagged need to write on their blogs about their Christmas wishes, as well as state this rule clearly, then tag 5 more victims. And the one who tags need to leave a comment that says "you've been Christmas tagged!" in their comments and tell them to read your blog.

A Very Bad Day

Well guys, yesterday I had a very, very bad day! My humans and I went to the vet for my anti-rabies shot… I was so scared, I was shivering and I didn’t want to “talk” to anybody! My humans tried to cheer me up but I was too upset. Finally we got home and I was so happy… but not for long! After a few hours my head started to swollen up!!! My eyes, my face and after a couple of minutes my body too were full of bubbles! And it itched! I tried to make it go away, but I couldn’t! My humans were so scared! I looked like this ( but my head was much swollen up): http://pets.webshots.com/photo/1401405040053512775eydbDN. They called my vet and she said that it’s a reaction and they should give me “Claritine”… And they did! They did! After an hour my body came back to normal. But I was so sleepy… What a day!
The only good news is that my belly-button is ok! It closed and I don’t need an operation or anything like that! :)
Today, because I was such a good boy when I was sick, my humans bought me a new bone for me to chew and a new doggy bowl.

Hey guys! Saint Nicholas came and brought gifts with him just for me!!! Oh yes he diiiid!!! He did!!! I got a Santa Doggy made of rubber, a Cow for me to chew and a little brush for my coat. I was much interested with the cow… she is funny! But I have to admit I was a little nervous about opening my presents so my humans helped me a little. Now I can’t wait for Santa Claus!!! :)
